A bill introduced to California’s Legislature d by Assemblyman Guy Houston, R-San Ramon, would make it a misdemeanor to use a third party to harass someone by posting messages on Internet sites.

Nationally, Texas and Illinois are among states that have passed their own internet safety education laws, but unlike Virginia they don’t make the courses mandatory.
